Urodził się w 1961 roku w Lublińcu. W latach 1980 85 studiował w Instytucie Wychowania Artystycznego Wyższej Szkoły Pedagogicznej w Częstochowie. W 1985 roku uzyskał dyplom w pracowni malarstwa prof. Wincentego Maszkowskiego.
